When you give to Westlawn School, you’re giving 2e students a chance to learn the way they learn best. And that’s what every kid deserves.

WHY WESTLAWN?

Because we’re different by design. Our mission is to help provide twice exceptional children with the kind of environment that helps them learn in ways that match their unique learning abilities. At Westlawn, we believe that each child’s potential is like a tiny acorn. Given the right environment, the right nurturing and the right curriculum, they can thrive into a mighty oak.

Your  donation  makes  it possible for us to create a completely custom environment for each child rather than relying on one-size-fits-all approaches to teaching. By keeping our class sizes small and our student/teacher ratio as low as possible, each child gets the attention they need in order to thrive.

Kids deserve myriad environments in which to learn, imagine and create on a daily basis. With input from our students, we took a plot of raw natural space directly behind our main building and have begun to transform it into a 1.5 acre outdoor learning zone for our students.

Your generous donation will help us continue transforming Westlawn Woods into a natural laboratory—one that will help unlock the imagination of children who have it in abundance. The Westlawn Woods’ breathe life into our student body and ignite an essential sense of value and belonging.  When our students spend time outside it helps them feel connected to each other and to themselves.

Be a part of the growing Westlawn family by helping us continue to support our wonderful twice-exceptional learners and the up-and-coming Westlawn Woods.

“Westlawn Woods is a very special place where you get to inhabit yourself and let all your imaginations let loose. Basically, you can finally be free.”

SCOUT, WESTLAWN SCHOOL STUDENT

Unlike tuition, gifts to the Westlawn Scholarship and Annual Fund are tax-deductible and enrich the entire school community. Because tuition does not fully cover the cost of a Westlawn School education, we rely on contributions from hundreds of donors each year.

Our Annual Fund is critical in supporting current operations, bridging the gap between what tuition covers and additional needs and improvements, and providing the basis for setting the following year’s annual budget and determining tuition and other critical numbers. Your support is greatly appreciated.

For information on the benefits of giving, please contact Mrs. Alexis Poindexter, CFO, at apoindexter@westlawnschooo.org.
